Great information I to think more women should be concerned with what goes in our bodies. Recently having to go on hormones I started to look for alternatives to tampons and found the Winalite They are sanitary napkins made of cotton and have an anion strip embedded in them. This helps with many things like mood swings, cramps, just to name a few it is antibacterial. They finally made something that works with us and that is healthy for us. I definitely recommend taking a look they have made a difference for me.

[...] Coming home from your local farmer’s market with a basket of fresh veggies, fruit, and maybe for us carnivores, some ethical meat choices. One of my favorite parts of summer are the simple meals prepared by cutting up a few fresh veggies, maybe grilling some meat, and polishing it all off with a bowl or strawberries or maybe even a peach cobbler. With our boards and counters getting so much use it is important to keep them clean. The answer to keeping our counters and cutting boards clean IS NOT bleach. My southern friends, more than any other people I know, LOVE bleach. They love feeling like they have killed every last germ and they even love the way bleach smells. Because I care about the health and well being of my dear friends I am going to share a few alternative cleaning recipes. [...]

Sea Pearls, sea spong tampons (http://www.jadeandpearl.com) and Glad Rags are, I think, even better choices.

Thanks for writing about this. More women should question what goes in their bodies. Most companies don't have your best interests at heart.

Have you ever heard of one of these? ------> http://www.divacup.com/

I thought it was crazy and then decided to buy one this year just to see what happened. I'm never ever going to use tampons again. (this is me, not avoiding the subject of the female reproductive system. just don't expect me to be less than awkward about it in real life.) :D
